Responsibilities:
Test automation engineers are responsible for creating test automation frameworks to improve coverage,
efficiency and effectiveness. Some of their duties include:
- Coordinating with developers, business analysts and the IT manager to develop an overall automation testing strategy
- Working with the testing team to identify test cases they can automate
- Developing testing scripts using automation tools and programming languages, and running test
scenarios using available data - Preparing the test environment necessary for automation testing, including software installations,
configurations and network settings - Collecting and managing the test data necessary to perform automation testing, and ensuring this
information is close to the real-world scenario - Running the test scripts and monitoring them to ensure the script covers all possible scenarios
- Analysing the test results and preparing comprehensive reports to present during the meetings
- Examining the test results and evaluating the quality of software using different test metrics, such
as automation coverage, execution time and reusability - Identifying new automation tools, frameworks and techniques to improve the automation testing
strategy - Deep knowledge with C# and Selenium.
